Video AdVINEture: Oregon’s Willamette Valley

Posted on Nov 7, 2018

Our latest Video AdVINEture features a sneak peek of our recent trip to Oregon! After a night in Portland we headed to the Willamette Valley to interview Doug Tunnel of Brick House Vineyards and Wayne Bailey of Youngberg Hill Vineyards & Inn. We also experienced the provisions tasting at Soter Wines and stopped into Sokol Blosser for a tasting. Fall is our favourite time to visit any wine region and with harvest just completed, there was lots of activity and lots of optimism about the 2018 vintage. We are big fans of the wine coming out of Oregon and this latest trip solidified that the Willamette Valley truly deserved to be named Wine Region of the Year (Wine Enthusiast 2016)!

I love how this turned out. Some of those vineyard-scapes are beyond stunning! Sokol Blosser is so cool, just a fascinating domaine.

    • We absolutely lucked out with spectacular fall weather. Vineyards at that time of year are so beautiful and we happened to be at some pretty picturesque spots…can’t wait to get back!

What a wonderful view into the Willamette Valley and Portland! I am so envious that you got to stay in the new Hotel Atticus! I have been hearing great things about them. Youngberg Hill is so beautiful! We had friends who got married there. You have shown me so many new places to explore in this region. I’m looking forward to a little more “Portland” time on our next trip. There is so much to see just in the city!

    • Totally agree. Hotel deLuxe in Portland was also a great hotel and would highly recommend. Atticus was excellent–very much needed in McMinnville!
